The Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, held a phone conversation with the EU
Commissioner for EU Neighboring Policies and Enlargement Negotiations,
Johannes Hahn, focusing on the recent developments regarding the justice
reform.
The Parliament Speaker updated Commissioner Hahn with the final progress and noted that the constructive spirit and essential progress that was reached during the talks should be greeted by all parties.
Meta guaranteed Hahn there is a healthy chance to have consensual approval of the justice reform on July 21st, a package that is now part of the agenda.
Meta underlined that he would do everything possible to preserve a consensual and constructive spirit for the Constitutional package in this plenary session, in order to preserve political stability and the EU integration of our country, which would serve to successfully complete the next phase, the implementation of this important reform for our country.
