Meta: Berisha to meet Rama

The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration and closest ally of
the governing party, declared that a meeting between the Prime Minister
Sali Berisha and the opposition leader Edi Rama will help intensifying
the negotiations for finding a consensus on the presidential elections.

“Naturally, this process started lately and has it defects, it cannot be perfect. You know that I have asked a meeting between the leaders, and I have appealed for a meeting between Berisha and Rama, in order to melt the prejudices that exist from afar”, Meta declared.

Meta gave this declaration during a meeting with the National Leading Committee of SMI Women, where he was asked by Top Channel how the SMI will vote on the fourth round, when Berisha wants someone from the Democratic Party leadership as president.

“We will continue developing and reinforcing the consensus within the majority and even further, with the opposition. I hope that the opposition will not misuse this opportunity and see it as a weakness from the majority, but as its free will for including the opposition in a consensual solution”, Meta declared.

However, Meta defended the candidacy of Judge Xhezair Zaganjori, which is not official yet.

“I think that we have a candidate whose values cannot be denied. It is important to eliminate the prejudices and close this process with dignity for everyone”, Meta declared.
