Merkel’s party MP visits Tirana, favors opening accession negotiations with Albania

Mark Hauptmann, MP of the CDU at the German parliament, attended a visit in Albania and confirmed during his meeting with the Socialist Party parliamentary group leader, Taulant Balla, that he will suggest his colleagues in Germany to open the accession negotiations with Albania.

“There are debates in the EU for enlarging the union or not. I think that we need to open the accession negotiations with Albania, because, for us, this is not the completion of the reforms, but the start”, Hauptman said.
