The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, met with the President of Serbia, Alexandar Vucic.
Merkel said that Serbia is an important country in the region that has a close cooperation with Germany.
“Serbia has a key role as regards Kosovo and Bosnia”, Merkel said, after the meeting with the Serbian President, Alexandar Vucic.
The German Chancellor had declared before the meeting that she wanted these talks to contribute to finding a solution for Kosovo, although it may be difficult sometimes.
Vucic said that Serbia is dedicated to peace and stability and that any possible conflict in Balkan would take the countries in the region 100 years back.
He added that the European path is vital for Serbia and that they will have to take a series of difficult decisions if they want to become part of the EU.
