Mediu: Loss goes to the RP too

On Top Channel’s “Albania Decides” studio, the leader of the Republican
Party, Fatmir Mediu, one of the right coalition allies, declared that
this is a moment of reflection to see what did not work out with he
right wing.
Although the Democratic Party leader had resigned a few hours ago, Mediu said that his party has also lost in these elections.
However, analysts argued that small parties cannot be blamed for this defeat, and neither Berisha’s decision to include them in the Democratic Party lists. The real reasons are more complex and they need time to reflect and analyze everything.
As regards the historic leader of the Albanian right wing, Sali Berisha, Mediu declared:
“For everything that has been done in these 22 years of democracy, we must value and recognize hios merits. Maybe we could have let ourselves be taken by hot political arguments, but history will evaluate his figure better. Since now he has resigned and the Albanian right wing is without a leader, I can say that I hope that they will soon find a decent person who will replace him and recover the fallen moral of the Democratic Party. But the most important thing is to raise against the challenges of the future”, Mediu declared.
“Now we need a change and reformation of the Albanian right wing, with the only goal to lead our country again”, Mediu added.
