On November 9th and 10th, Tirana will host 250 representatives of foreign media, politicians and interest groups in a conference that will be held in presence of the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn.
“Freedom of expression is a basic value for the EU, and as such it is a milestone in the enlargement process, with a strong and independent press as leader of democratic transformation. The EU-Western Balkan media days initiative will encourage stronger media freedom and the creation of a vibrant media environment, which will be able to face the big challenges of the sector”, said EU Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn.
