The work-group established by order of the Albanian Prime Minister
assessed the situation caused by earth tremors in Zharrez, and took some
immediate measures.
Based on an order of the Ministry of Energy and Industry, the work group will ask Bankers to stop injecting wastewater and start using other alternative ways that don’t damage the environment.
The General Directory of Civilian Emergencies, in cooperation with local governments, will take immediate measures to shelter residents whose houses are considered uninhabitable.
Another measure is that Albpetrol must install three seismic-receivers and other equipments, while an international and independent technical expert is called to verify the cause of these tremors. He will also suggest an optimal solution, based on international oil-drilling standards.
