The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, warned bars which litter streets with waste that they will be identified, even if they will be forced to investigate the bills and products inside waste bags.
There are still some luxury businesses which keep littering roads in Tirana, although rubbish bins are just a few meters away. Municipality workers investigated the bag and identified the luxury café through the receipts inside.
Veliaj wrote on social networks “Dear café at the Myslym Shyri road, we are ready to open your waste bags and identify who is littering our roads. Today you received a big fine and you lost some clients because no one wants to take a coffee in a beautiful café which has an ugly behaviour”, Veliaj said.
