Mayor Veliaj presents Tirana at Vienna OSCE meeting

The OSCE gathered European mayors in Vienna, including Tirana Mayor,
Erion Veliaj, for promoting stable growth through good governing and
environmental policies.
Erion Veliaj promised more green spaces for the Tirana of the next generation. He presented examples of the policies that are currently undergoing in the Albanian capital.
Veliaj also brought to attention that the General Plan for Local Governments, approved in 2016, foresees to plant 2 million trees around the city. It plans building 10 kilometers of bicycle lanes and two green belts with threes.
Veliaj also said that some positive steps have been undertaken for the transformation of the public transportation.
