The Municipality of Tirana hosted a festive dinner with senior religious representatives and other personalities of Albania’s capital.
Mayor Erion Veliaj said that Christmas is a moment of reflection for everyone, while underlining that Tirana managed to recover very soon after the November 26th earthquake.
“We had two earthquake, one flood and other crisis in Tirana this year, but cities and communities are not judged by how often the have crisis, they are judged about how quickly they rise”, Veliaj said.
The Mayr assured that the Municipality of Tirana will keep providing help to the people in need through its social food centers.
The Mayor expressed his gratitude to the representatives of religious communities, and emphasized that Tirana remains a city that offers solidarity and that invests for a righteous society.
