From Sunday to today 370 citizens have received care in the hospital in the central city of Kruja for a suspected poisoning from the contamination of tap water.
Today alone, 60 citizens have been given care at the local hospital who then returned home after the treatment.
The cause of the intoxication of the citizens in Kruja is still not officially known as the answer to the analysis of the water samples are expected on Wednesday.
But there are suspicions for an intoxication of drinking water that is supplied to the residents as there is a cattle stable very close to the water depot.
Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu said from Kruja that the citizens continue to show health problems such as vomiting and diarrhea.
Citizens are suspected of being poisoned by tap water as 80% of them consume it as drinking water.
Minister Manastirliu was at the hospital in Kruja where she said that the water supply was interrupted while the results of the analysis are awaited.
