Marin Mema, winner of the “Journalist of the Year” award, declared in
Top Channel’s program “Pasdite ne Top Channel” that the honor he
received from the Union of Albanian Journalists will make him try harder
to bring the voice of the people who cannot tell their stories.
“This has been a show of mine and I have always tried to make it without influences. I have another obligation now. I want to share this award with my staff”, declared the author of the “Other Albania” program.
Mema added: “The problems are endless. Our staff is trying to get to the core of these problems. Unfortunately, we are still facing problems like the lack of food or health care. I have had the chance to bring these problems with ease, which is not easy to do in other media. The journalist feels better in this case”.
When asked about the report that had impressed him more, the journalist declared: “The case of the Malebardha village. It shows the biggest value of the Albanian people, religious tolerance. Our country has an extraordinary history, not only pain. It is good to bring the people and make them understand these histories”.
