The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and the Minister of Education,
Lindita Nikolla, wished a happy Teachers’ Day (March 7th) to all
teachers, and reminded them that their mission is to turn children not
only into students with high result, but also into good citizens.

“I wish a happy teachers’ day to all teachers, and thank them for the noble and passionate work they do. We will support teachers to turn schools into the center of our community”, Nikolla declared.

Symbolically, every Minister took the keys of a school which they must take care of in order to make the “communitary school” initiative work properly.

“We established the base ‘Schools into community centers’ for not preparing only good students, but also good citizens. Without good citizens, the EU dream of Albania might turn itno an illusion”, the Prime Minister declared.

Rama, who will take care of the “28 Nentori” school in Vlore and the “Ali Demi” school in Shkoder, declared that it is important for the students to learn on the orientation of projects and the values that sport must have in their lives.

Despite having access to EU funds, Albania is able to receive only a small portion, because of the inability to create projects which can turn into important and concrete social actions.
