Manjani: “Scandalous residential building”

Ylli Manjani, vice chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration,
considers the construction of a residential building complex close to
the Tirana Artificial Lake a multi-dimensional scandal with the blessing
of the Tirana Mayor, Lulzim Basha.
“The complex seems like a new city, and it is a legal scandal. It is a political corruption and an urban catastrophe, followed by an environmental catastrophe. It should be stopped at any cost. It is crazy that a Mayor who came with the promise to stop the exaggerated building says that the increased number of concrete buildings also increases the green spaces”, Manjani declared.
During an interview for Top Channel, Manjani declared that the majority is determined to stop this project.
“We should stop it with all legal means. It must be stopped. We cannot leave people without space. That construction has not respected any urban criteria. It is political corruption, because it is being done by the people who are in power, the clients of the Tirana Municipality, and this cannot be allowed. This majority has shown that there is good will to clean the territory and protect it from urban catastrophes, and that is what we will do. This majority will stop doing this only when they will not be in power anymore”, Manjani declared.
