Manjani: “No prison for minors. We’ll give them education”

The newly appointed Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, said that prison
will be given less as a sentence for minors, since it only keeps them on
the path of crime. Manjani says that now the government will offer them
professions and education.

Article 46 of the law, which Manjani considers as dead for infrastructure reasons, decides that minors should stay in re-education institutions. But the court is bound to review the sentence one year later.
