Man electrocuted while making illegal connection

A 37-year-old died this Friday while trying to make an illegal connection on a high-voltage power line.

This tragedy took place right after the Energy Distribution realized an operation in the Babrru-Paskuqan area for cutting illegal connections,

Specialists say that Tirana’s Unit 3 has the highest number of illegal connections. There are more than 1700 cases of people getting power supply without paying for it. Only 31 of them have applied for a contract, while the authorities are looking to discover all illegal connections.

Only this Friday, authorities have reported 300 cases of illegal connections in the Babrru-Paskuqan area. Six citizens have been reported at the police.
