The European Commissioner for the Interior Matters, Cecilia Malmstrom, declared that EU will not leave Kosovo isolated.

During a seminary for the experiences with the visa liberalization, Malmstrom underlined that Kosovo is the only Balkan country that is still facing this regime.

“Kosovo will not be left isolated. On December will start the dialogue for the visa liberalization with Kosovo”, Malmstrom declared.

The EU Commissioner declared that Kosovo has not fulfilled all conditions, but she underlined that there is a significant progress.

“On December we will receive the answers with the list of questions that do concern us, and I hope that we will be able to start the dialogue for the visa liberalization before the holidays of the end of the year”, Malmstrom added.

The Kosovo government expressed its readiness to fulfill the conditions set by Brussels, promising that they will realize them in a record time.

One of the requests represented in the progress report for the visa liberalization is the situation in Northern Kosovo, for which Brussels has asked an all inclusive strategy.
