The majority rejected the opposition’s request for establishing a new
Parliamentary Commission for investigating the drug traffic.
This issue only consumed more than 10 hours of debate, the highest number of discussion between the parties. But more than the Parliamentary procedures, the DP accused the government leaders for having ties with the drug traffic.
The parties exchanged accusations, and former Prime Minister Sali Berisha declared that the government refused a constitutional right to the opposition. Rama underlined that very soon the opposition will face the knowledge of airplanes that have not been caught.
During this session, the Parliament approved the vacancies of the Audiovisual Media Authority.
“How do you deny the constitutional right of the opposition for an investigative commission about the drug traffic in our country, while Meta and Rama say they flies and not airplanes”, Berisha declared.
“You speak with certainty about the traffic because you receive SMS-s, but from experience, very soon you might be facing the knowledge of airplanes that have not been caught. The commission is right there. We cannot return for as many times that you change your minds”, Rama declared.
The former Prime Minister accused Prime Minister Rama of sending people to the President for buying the Head of the State.
“The President showed dignity and sent the file at the Prosecution. This example shows the real face of Edi Rama and the mafia-people he lives with. The President stood as a rock and mafia couldn’t buy him”, Berisha declared.
“Do whatever you want, but make up your mind. What is this revolt against? The drug traffic or against the drug cultivators?”, the Prime Minister declared.
“We will not leave the Parliament because we are near the candidate status meeting and we will not let you use our abandoning of the Parliament. We will stay here. We support the status because Albania deserves it, but what you did is making our country a laughing stock”, Berisha declared.
“You must be sure that you are making a big mistake that you are not taking the merit you deserve for the candidate status. Take that part of the merit and don’t discredit yourselves so soon, because there is still a long time ahead. We cannot do more than this. You are in a bad state and the worse thing is that your doctor (Berisha) keeps being your biggest patient. We cannot help you with this. One thing is sure. We want you here, as closer as possible to your role as opposition”, Rama declared.
