The Minister of State for the Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, said that the Albanian Prime Minister and opposition leader must talk not to negotiate for their own benefits, but to take Albania out of a stalemate.

Majko said that the precedent that the opposition is creating is very dangerous: “Albania is creating a precedent with the opposition not attending the elections. This could turn into a model. The opposition must ask themselves what will happen after this. Let’s say they caome into power. We could also resign our seats and say we don’t want the new Prime Minister. I think that we are in a phase when a certain political class is about to leave politics, and this is why we are seeing such polarization”, Majko said.

When asked if there is social conflict, Majko said that this is decided by the people, but civilian conflicts require more than 10.000 people.
