The Minister of Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, started his visit in Switzerland with the Albanian consulate in Zurich, where he met with the Consul of Honor, Anita Winter.

Winter has assisted with the organization of a series of activities, such as the one remembering the help that Albanians have given to the Jewish people.

In this meeting, there were representatives of the Albanian associations that operate in Switzerland, who updated the Minister with the initiatives that have been taken for promoting the Albanian language and culture.

Minister Majko congratulated the participants for the work done so far and for reinforcing the relations of the state with the Diaspora.

Majko focused on the Law for the Diaspora, which passed this Thursday in Parliament, and which will enable supportive structures for Albanians abroad.

Majko then visited the Pestalozzi Hardau Center, led by Suela Jorgaqi.

The inter-cultural centre established in 2009 is dedicated to all age groups and categories. It also serves as a library, with Albanian literature among many other ones.

The centre organizes activities in 12 different languages. Among the participants, there are Albanians as well.
