A serious accident occurred today in a Bulqiza mine in, where a 31-year-old miner was injured at level 8 in the Buffalo Neck sector.
He was working as a digger operator, when part of the mine wall armor collapsed.
The accident was spotted by other miners who were near the work front, and were able to extract the injured from the chrome material and sending him to the Bulqiza hospital. Sources near Bulqiza hospital suggest that the miner had spinal injuries.
This forced the medics to send him urgently by helicopter to the trauma hospital in Tirana. Meanwhile, the investigative group has launched an investigation into the serious accident at the mine.
