One month after it passed at the government, the law for using languages
in Macedonia is expected to be discussed in Parliament very soon.
Deputy Prime Minister Hazbi Lika said that the law would be sent to Parliament with an accelerated procedure.
Top Channel has secured the announcement of Commission for European Matters, which is addressed to MPs for the meeting that will be held on September 5th, 10:00. The only topic of that day is discussing the draft law for using languages.
The law establishes Albanian as the second official language of Macedonia. It will be discussed in other commissions as well, before it is being voted.
As announced by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, the law will also go to the Venice Commission, to have an opinion regarding the matters that are not included in this law, that of using Albanian language even in the army uniforms and banknotes.
