The government of Macedonia declared that the decision of President Gjorge Ivanov to not decree Albanian as second official language is regrettable.
“We want to underline once again that all legal elements are conform Amendment 5 of the Constitution”, the government states.
“With this law we advanced the usage of languages for all ethnic communities in the country. The reason this law was drafted is the government’s care for all citizens, with whom we will build a society equal for all”, the declaration says.
