Macedonia school texts filled with hateful speech towards Albanians will be used again in this school year. Macedonia’s Education Minister, Abdilaqim Ademi agreed that text content is unacceptable but also said the replacement process is not at all easy.
He said the most problematic texts are those of history, language and multiethnic Macedonia’s culture. But even though this year children will again read the wrong books, Ademi says his ministry is working together with Tirana and Prishtina in order to publish text that are not contested by any part.
Beside hatred texts this year the discriminating tendency towards Albanians was present even in the “external tests” the Macedonian Education Ministry held in order to check pupil’s general knowledge.
