Macedonia, former Interior Minister arrested for Parliament violence

The former Interior Minister of Macedonia and former Chairman of the National Bureau for Public Works, Mitko Cavkov, and two other MPs of the VMRO-DPMNE were arrested by order of the Prosecution.

The group is arrested for being part of the violent incidents inside Macedonia’s parliament, on April 27th.

Minister Cavkov is accused of not ordering the police to intervene inside the Parliament and offer security to the MPs who were brutally beaten.

The Albanian MP Ziadin Sela and now Prime Minister Zoran Zaev suffered most injuries during the attack.
