The Skopje Criminal Court issued their sentence for 37 suspects charged with being part of the Kumanova Gang. The Court gave 746 years of prison in total.
Eight Macedonian police officers and 10 members of the organization died on May 15th, as they exchanged fire.
The Prosecution had requested life in prison for 37 defendants, many of whom from Kosovo, including former KLA commanders Sami Ukshini, Deme Shehu, etc.
Members of this gang say Mirsad Ndrecaj and Beg Rizaj, two of the 10 members who died, were shot after handing themselves over to the police, which denies it.
