Lushnje farmers unable to sell tomatoes

Agricultural exports from the Myzeqe area have had a drastic decrease
this year. Exporters used to buy for these farmers for years, but in the
last four days the farmers have not been able to sell any kilogram for
exports.

This decreased the price of tomatoes from 110 ALLkg to 35 ALL, while the sales of last year never fell under 50 ALLkg.

The domestic market is unable to buy all this supply. Farmers were hoping to cooperate with the exporters in Kosovo, Serbia, Hungaria, Poland and the Czech Republic, but they are not coming anymore in the Lushnje market.

At least 1000 farmers come every morning and take their production back home. They remember the flux of sales of one year ago, but for this year they foresee more losses.
