Farmers of Fier and Lushnja have protested today at the roundabout of Plugu on the national road against the new fiscal package of the government which includes the reduction of subsidies to agriculture.
Fifteen protesters were escorted by police after being accused of violently opposing the officers by blocking the highway.
Numerous forces were at the scene to avoid the escalation of the situation, while the traffic police were assisting in the circulation of vehicles.
In their banners, farmers demanded “development assistance” from the government, not “social support”.
They also demanded real fight against corruption and bureaucracy, stimulating success and agricultural development.
