Lushnja farmers have gathered again today in protest against high taxes and cuts in government subsidies.
They marched from the place called “Rotondo Plasmasi” towards the city center while confrontations with the polide officers were reported.
Opposition Democratic Party MP Sajmir Korreshi was with them at the protest.
Farmers, exporters and producers have gathered again in Lushnja to oppose the changes of the new fiscal package for 2022, such as the abolition of the refundable VAT tax, from 6 to 0%, which has brought dissatisfaction to farmers.
For this reason, a few days ago they submitted 6 requests to the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Minister of Economy.
So far no request from farmers has been accepted by the government.
