The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, on the 67-th anniversary of
the creation of NATO and on the 7th anniversary of Albania’s accession
to it, sent a message to the Albanian citizens and the our allies, with a
message:
“On this special day for every NATO country, I want to congratulate the Albanian people for the anniversary and express our gratitude to all member countries and specially to our strategic ally, the USA. As leader of the DP, I am proud that in eight years we led the country in historic process of reforms for the security and defense, which were finalized with the NATO membership in 2009 and with the technical fulfillment of the accession in April 2013”, Basha says.
Basha criticized the current government of lacking of consensus, abusing with the properties for propaganda issues, for reducing the budget and for politicizing the Armed Forces, and for placing Albania last in the list of NATO countries, due to the failed reforms, according to Basha.
