Low interest rates for bank deposits has reduced the wealth of Albanians

The financial wealth of Albanian families was reduced with 29 billion ALL during the last six months, also affected by the Euro devaluation.

The data were reported by the Bank of Albania, which announced that the total amount of finances owned by the Albanian citizens went down to 1,110 trillion ALL, from 1,139 trillion that it was by the end of the last year.

This is mainly money that the Albanian families have deposited in bank accounts, government bonds, investment funds or private pensions.

The data show that the highest loss was for individuals who had their deposits in Euros.
