Local elections, Meta: “No agreement with the SP for the selection of candidates”

The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta,
declared that they haven’t found any new agreement with the Socialist
Party for chosing the candidates for mayors.
“We do not have any agreement yet. Not for the division of the areas, because this concept doesn’t exist. But for the way how candidates are selected. This is an open and very constructive process that needs no rush. We will have to wait some time”, Meta declared.
He added that the tlaks with the Socialist Party are open and constructive.
When asked if the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity will be part of the coalition, Meta declared that he cannot talk about this.
“I cannot speak on issues that are not up to me. I have no information for this”, Meta declared.
As Parliament Speaker, Meta declared that only the transparency and the impartiality of the Central Election Commission can guarantee the local electoral process of June 21st.
“We must implement the best practices of the EU”, Meta declared,
The Parliament Speaker gave this declaration during the conference that is being held in Tiarna with the topic “Exchanging experiences between Albania and Slovenia”.
