The State Police introduced today the drones for monitoring the situation and the observance of the quarantine and time band rules.
Interior Minister Sander Lleshaj said that 50 drones that will be on patrol in the main areas of Tirana, as well as where there are people gatherings, in which case the audio from the drone will call on citizens to stay at home and respect the rules of social distancing.
“We are here today for a demonstration of the State Police related to the introduction of some new equipment in order to better control the situation and measures, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“Of course, the expansion of the time bands for the movement of citizens, which have started today, for the Police will mean more work, more commitment.
“Basically all the relaxation, or expansion of the schedule band, means more checks for the Police.
“I want to make a call to all citizens that a fair expansion of the entire schedule will simply create more opportunities for those who need to go to work, and reduce the density in circulation for those who need to go food shopping”, stated Lleshaj among other things.
