The leader of the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity, Shpetim
Idrizi, sent a letter to the Albanian MPs asking them to vote the Cham
resolution. He asked the MPs to vote as free individuals, not as members
of one wing or another.
“The text that I’m presenting for your support is not a simple document. It is not the product of a personal inspiration, as part f the Cham community, a martyr community that has its collective testament. It is the unification of spoken testaments from our predecessors who died, and those who are about to make this division. This is something I want to share with you”, Idrizi wrote.
The PJIU declared that after the fall of the communist regime, Albania became a NATO member and its citizens are allowed to travel free in Europe, thanks to the visa liberalization agreement.
Idrizi added that the resolution of the Cham case demands only legal and universal rights that are incarnated in the most important treaties of the international right, and are an essential part of the EU.
One day ago, the Chameria Association elected the former President Alfred Moisiu as head of the list of Albanians who will sign the petition. He asked the Parliament to approve as soon as possible the draft-resolution filed by MPs Shpetim Idrizi and Dashamir Tahiri.
