With a narrow difference of votes, the Parliament approved the
Presidential Decree for the appointment of Bujar Leskaj as Chairman of
the Supreme State Audit.

The majority was out of three votes, since Ilir Rusmali, Fatos Hoxha and Viktor Gumi abstained for this decree that was accepted by the majority for not bringing the institution to a crisis.

Sali Berisha was absent in this voting too, who didn’t give any positive evaluation for his former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Bujar Leskaj.

The only vote of the opposition that went for Bujar Leskaj was from the Union for the Human Rights Party, Vangjel Dule. The other Socialists voted against.

The majority voted in favor for postponing the mandate of the Parliamentary Commission for the Investigation of the January 21st events.

The opposition voted against, but made no explanation for the mandate extension of this Commission that was established one year ago, after the January 21st demonstration.
