Legalizations, Rama; No legalization for buildings that go against public’s interest

In a meeting with the motto “free legalization, ALUIZNI meets citizens”, the Prime Minister declared that closing the legalization process is a priority for them.

“The philosophy of this service is to help these families and give them the property titles, rather than leaving them knocking on the doors of institutions, which, of course, have their share of hands that request a bribe. Free legalization drops the corruption, as it happened”, Rama declared.

But the Prime Minister warned that all illegal buildings that have come out of corruption will be hit.

“Not only we will not legalize them for free, but we will not legalize them at all. This is what is happening with the interventions of the Construction Inspectorate in Tirana and other cities, with owners who say they have started a legalization process. There is no legalization process for this. No one can become owner of sidewalks and spaces between apartment buildings. There is a huge distinction here. People cannot become owners of sea shores, of the sand, the sea or archeological areas. They cannot raise buildings on public works or water collectors”, Rama declared.

The Director of ALUIZNI said that they are negotiating with the National Chamber of Notaries to reduce the fees for passing properties. The National Council of Territory will have the data for new informal areas very soon.

“There are 84 new informal areas that will be presented at the National Council of Territory, after receiving the signature of the National Council of Territory. We underline that we are dealing with the informal areas, but the legalization doesn’t stop here. It will continue with urbanization based on a scheme with three parts”, Artan Lame declared.
