“Distribution of free property titles will end the horrible history of
delays and corruption that has continued for years”, declared the
Albanian Prime Minister and Parliament Member of Vlore, while
distributing property certificates in this city.
“Those who will dare build without permission will be prosecuted. We cannot continue with this history that has turned Albania into a mess”, Rama declared.
According to the General Director of the Agency of Legalisation Urbanisation and Integration of Informal Zone/Building, Artan Lame, there are 25.000 self-declarations for legalizations in the Vlore district, and only 2700 have received permit.
“The previous government realized 5-6% of the legalizations in 8 years. In Vlore they legalized 12%, most of them being very problematic”, the Prime Minister declared.
“There has been a horrible abuse in Vlore by the Agency of Legalisation Urbanisation and Integration of Informal Zone/Building. Buildings have been legalized for profits and corruption. Abusive buildings close to the seaside had destroyed the face and air of Vlore, and they were legalized. This is a shameful page of a government that ruined for profits”, Rama declared.
The Prime Minister underlined that through the free legalization process they are aiming to raise awareness among families for paying the electricity.
“We will make another reduction for those who will pay. Whoever pays the 400.000 ALL immediately, will have a 40.000 ALL reduction. It will not be paid, but it will be left at the Immovable Property Registration Office for paying electricity. After two years, they can show the electricity bills and the obligation will be removed. This is because we don’t want families in need to end up prosecuted for energy theft”, Rama declared.
