Legalizations in Korce

Artan Lame and the Minister of Urban Development and Tourism, Eglantina Gjermeni, declared that the free distribution of legalization documents is an electoral promise of the Socialist Party.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Niko Peleshi, underlined the importance of this process and declared that all Albanians are witnesses that the former law failed.

On his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama mentioned the legalization procedure that until yesterday were bureaucratic and a source of corruption.

“We will give legalizations for everyone, without delays and without distinction. It will take only the time for filling the documentation. It will not be the citizens going to the Agency of Legalisation Urbanisation and Integration of Informal Zone/Building, but the Agency will go home to home and will help with the documentation. The entire documentation will be free”, Rama declared.

What categories benefit from the free process, and what categories will have to pay?

“Whoever has built on his own land will have everything for free. Whoever has built on someone else’s land will pay a very small amount compared to the real value of the land, so that we can secure a fund for compensating the owners”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister added that the payment can be made immediately or later. Even those who will not pay immediately will receive the property title, but they will be registered with a debt condition.
