Lefteri Lleshi, new CEC chairwoman

Lefteri Lleshi is the new Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission.
She received 73 votes from the majority while the opposition did not
vote.

Lleshi is the first woman to lead the highest electoral institution. The MPs also approved the six new CEC members. Lleshi has studied at the Law Faculty of the Tirana University, taught at the Art Academy and has also worked at the Secret Service, the Albanian Parliament and is now a member of the High Council of Justice.

Berisha thanked the former CEC Chairman, Arben Ristani, for his contribution with the elections.
