The Head of the Lazarat commune asked students to influence their
parents for ending the marijuana era and invest the money in clean
businesses.
This issue was discussed in a meeting organized between the Lazarat school students, the Commune leaders, police representatives and teachers.
“We are not asking about how the money was profited. But that money should be used for honest businesses. You must insist for your parents to not spend that money in casinos. There are three casinos in Lazarat. This is a shame. Why don’t they buy a shop, a business, but they buy 50,000 dollar cars?”, declared Dashamir Aliko, Head of the Lazarat Commune.
“If you ask us to convince our parents to stop planting marijuana, can you guarantee us that you will find jobs for them? This is our way of living”, a student declared.
“People cannot get rich in dishonest works. Lazarat is not the only one without jobs. It’s most of the Albanian people”, Aliko declared.
The Police Director asked the children’s help in the operation against marijuana cultivation. The young men of this village say that economic needs encourage the cultivation of marijuana.
Lazarat has a negative history for the cultivation of marijuana and police operations have been opposed with guns.
