Landslide isolate 2300 Kurvelesh residents

The Tepelena rural roads have been damaged by rains this February. The
Tepelena-Gusmar road suffered severe damage due to the rains in the Hosi
I Zallit area, for 100 meters.

A 1000 cubic meter landslide has blocked the road for more than 20 days. The Head of the Kurvelesh Commune, Pellumb Milori, declared that residents drive to the damaged area, than make the rest on foot. The commune has enable two vehicles that realize transportation at the isolated villages.

This road has been very dangerous for 2300 residents in five mountainous villages.

Another road in Tepelena, from Ura e Luftinjes to the Buz commune, has been damaged by the recent rains, making it difficult for small vehicles to go through.

No investments have been made in these two roads for decades. There are only 22 workers who take care of their maintenance, without any tools or instruments.
