Edi Rama’s book “Kurban” is being published in Turkey after being
translated by Falma Fashiz. The publisher of Mr.Rama, Arlinda Durda,
declared that the book will soon be published in Italian, with an
introduction by the renowned movie director, Gianni Amelio.

“An extraordinary story of an extraordinary politician”, says the Turkish editorial, Tanel Bora.

Besides the questions about “Kurban”, which has sold 24.000 copies so far, Rama answered to the journalists about political issues regarding the division of power with the Socialist Movement for Integration if the left coalition wins the 2013 elections.

“There will be no division, we will be together to govern Albania, and the truth is this. The rest is part of thousands of other things that are said on electoral campaigns”, Rama declared.

Rama explained why the Socialist Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration are not holding the campaign together.

“We have made a convention where the was a session only for the coalition. The Albanain system does not allow a joint campaign, but separated, so that all political forces can collect more votes on their own”, Rama declared.

The Socialist Party leader answered to the accusations of the Democratic Party Spokesperson, Laura Vorpsi, who accused him of hiding his assets.

“If I didn’t pay taxes, Arlinda would have been fined, because she has taken care of the distribution. But they are so ignorant that they cannot make their job as they should. The tax collectors are not ordered to come and check, but they are ordered that this person is an enemy and that’s it, same as in the communist period. Then they need to find the witnesses, create a trial and punish them”, Rama declared.
