Four people will appear in court for blocking the circulation of transportation vehicles.
The residents of the Gostil Neighborhood in Kukes blocked the road in protest against the lack of electricity for several days. CEZ has cut their power supply because they haven’t paiud for energy. Residents say it is impossible for them to pay the bills, and are against collective penalization.
For this reason they blocked the Kukes-Peshkopia road for several hours. The police intervened while protesters started throwing rough materials on the road, and burned tires. Police was obliged to deviate the circulation in another road.
More than 200 families are living without power supply, since they haven’t paid it for years. Residents want the government to take in consideration their low economic level.
