The expropriation process for building the Kukes airport has caused
104.000 EUR of damage to the government, according to the Supreme State
Audit, by compensating four owners who have no property titles.
The SSA filed a criminal report against the former Property Registrator in Kukes, two legal experts and a cartographer.
SSA believes the Prosecution may reveal other persons involved in this corruptive activity.
The report has found that in four cases, the people who were expropriated were not owners of the land.
The SSA also filed criminal charges over power abuse for nine former employees and five specialists at the Berat Property Registration Office.
In cooperation with each other, they have allowed property ownership change in 20 cases.
