The European Union Parliament Member, Eduard Kukan, declared that
Albania is on the right path to reinforce the democratic system after
the June 23rd elections.
The head of the delegation for the relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo valued the situation in Albania as better than in the past.
“I welcome the election result, recognized by both parties, and the good words exchanged by the political leaders. I trust that a soft transition of the political power will reinforce the democratic processes in our country, which is important for continuing with the integration processes in the European Union”, Kukan declared.
Kukan greeted the victory of the left coalition leader, Edi Rama, and thanked the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, for his successful efforts for developing Albania and for the Democratic and European way in which he recognized the elections.
