The chairwoman of the SMI, Monika Kryemadhi, stated after the meeting with President Meta, both her husband and the former chairman of SMI, that the party she leads requires the elections be organized as soon as possible.
Kryemadhi said that the elections should have been held two years ago, while adding that for the opposition it is important they are free and honest.
“The elections should have been held 2 years ago. It is not a matter of date but the key is to have free and fair elections. We made it clear to the President that the SMI will implement every decision and decree and will participate in the electoral process that will guarantee the Albanians the government they have long deserved.
“There are hundreds of students leaving because of poverty. There is a shortage of doctors and nurses in hospitals. The sooner the elections are held the more problems will be solved. We need an overthrow to build a new system,” said Kryemadhi, among other things.
