Kruje, limekilns not turning off

Burning car tires for fueling limekilns in Kruje is polluting the
environment not only in this area, but CO2 clouds are also circulating
around Tirana and Fushe Kruje.
As if summer heat was not enough, Kruje
citizens are obliged to inhale the smokes of these limekilns, which
continue with the environmental massacre that shortens the life of the
citizens, although they are conducting an illegal activity.
While Kruje Municipality police is nonexistent, State Police and Prosecution are not different, making the rule of law totally absent.
One year ago, the Environment Ministry started an action for closing limekilns in Kruje, but the images shown today demonstratethat exactly where the kilns were closed, the activity is still going on, and even with more intensity.
The Environmental Inspectorate that operates in this area has never taken any initiative to act against this illegal activity.
