The Kosovo Speaker of the Parliament, Jakup Krasniqi, blamed the
parallel structures in Northern Kosovo for the bad economy and accused
them of endangering the country’s stability and sovereignty.

“The organized crime in the country doesn’t offer security for anyone, not even in the Northern part of Kosovo. It is endangering the life of the Serbian citizens and their perspective, which cannot be through roadblocks and isolation from safety and perspectives for a free life”, Krasniqi declared.

The Kosovo Parliament Speaker released this declaration during the Balkan Conference of Parliament Speakers that is being held in Budapest.

Krasniqi highlighted the need for more cooperation about the security issues in the regional states.

“War against terror, organized crime, human traffic and other forms of crime is not only an obligation of our structures, in order to guarantee safety for our citizens, but also an obligation in front of the organizations we adhere, the international community and the Euro-Atlantic structures in which we want to integrate”, he declared.
