The decisions taken after June 8th by the current government might be reviewed and even cancelled.
The post-election coalition, LDK-AAK-NISMA, which aims forming the new government, warned that they would review all new recruitments by the government.
Political analysts and constitutional legal experts say that the government has the right to take decisions, as long as it is in power, but it shouldn’t take decisions of huge political weight, since they could be overthrown by the new government.
Florent Muqaj, Professor of Law at the University of Prishtina, says that neither the Constitution or any other law provides limitations of the decisions taken by any government as long as it is incumbent.
“There cannot be limitations, because we are talking about Constitutional competences, then about the legal ones. This government has come from the Parliament and it should continue until the new government is voted”, Muqaj declared.
