The rapporteur for Kosovo at the European Parliament, Igor Sholtes, said that the visa regime for the country should have been removed two years ago.
“I did my best and this will be seen on the progress report”, Sholtes said.
Expectancies are high, although not everything depends on the European Parliament. The last word will be said by the Commission, and the rapporteur for Kosovo is convinced that the recommendation will be positive and that the liberalization could be complete within a year.
But, according to the European officials, Albanians have only themselves to blame. They should have completed the conditions at the same time with Georgia and Ukraine.
